SAF - Sustainable Aviation Fuel
Advanced biofuel technologies for aviation decarbonisation
What is Sustainable Aviation Fuel
Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is a cleaner, non-petroleum-based jet fuel produced from renewable waste, agricultural residue, and captured carbon, reducing lifecycle CO2 emissions by up to 80%. It is a “drop-in” fuel, meaning it can be blended with traditional jet fuel (up to 50%) without requiring modifications to existing aircraft engines or airport infrastructure.
